Mobile games for Blizzard did not have the most popular start. We can all remember a one fan asking this famous question at the Diablo Q&A session: “Is this an out-of-season April Fool’s joke?” This however does not seem stop the team from making more content for mobile games. Recently a new one has been announced, Warcraft Arclight Rumble.
Warcraft® Arclight Rumble™ is a mobile action strategy game set within the Warcraft universe where collectible Minis come to life to battle in frantic melee skirmishes. Play in multiple modes, including the single player campaign, going head-to-head in epic PvP battles, playing co-op, and more. Experience the true meaning of joyful chaos! (Blizzard)
Some of the things we know so far about Warcraft Arclight Rumble are that players will be able to take control of an army of minis designed to look like tabletop miniatures. These include hero characters from the universe, such as like Jaina Proudmoore, Grommash Hellscream, Tirion Fordring and Cairne Bloodhoof from the factions of Alliance and Horde, or even spells. To add to these, we are promised over 65 Warcraft minis and characters from five playable factions. These factions are the Alliance, Horde, Beast, Undead, and Blackrock.
The game will allow you to gain experience on your characters of choice after battles and level them up. With this, the characters will unlock special abilities. Similar to the challenges of Hearthstone, players will also be able to take part in weekly and monthly events in Warcraft Arclight Rumble, Blizzard says. There will also be multiple game modes to try out, such as Conquest, Dungeons, Raids, Co-Op and PVP.
Similar to how Hearthstone has given us additional rewards on World of Warcraft for playing it and completing some tasks, I expect Warcraft Arclight Rumble to add cosmetics to the others games too. Make sure to register to the game if you are interested, to stay informed and gain a chance to be included in the future beta tests.
Let me know in the comments what you think about Warcraft Arclight Rumble, and if you play other mobile games! I hope to see you soon with more news and thoughts on video games, and wish you all short loading screens!
